When I watch a film by David Lynch, it makes me feel like I have been wrapped in thick crushed red velvet. Soft, warm and sensual, but at the same time deep, dark and dangerous. The "Red Room" from Twin Peaks has all of these emotional textures, and is probably the most psychedelic TV soap ever made.

A Shamanic ceremony of the Yanomani tribe, who live deep in the Venezuelan Amazonas. Yopo powder, a potent hallucinogenic is blown into the nose down a long pipe.

As the Shamen go into trance, they become powerful and bold as they listen to the voices of the Jekuras (spirits of plants and animals) in order to protect the others from bad spirits.

One such demon is Titri, a huge weeping bird, who was hunted and killed by the Yanomani.

His spirit brought night upon the world and during the hours of darkness he torments people by entering their dreams.
